Mia L. Karamatsu, M.D., FAAP, is a board certified pediatrician and pediatric emergency physician. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Prior to this role, she was an attending physician at the Pediatric Emergency Department a California Pacific Medical Center at San Francisco and an attending physician at the Pediatri Emergency Department at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Oakland.
Mia is a Fellow at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), member of the American Colleg of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), and member of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicin (SAEM). She received her M.D. at the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicin (JABSOM), completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Orange Count (CHOC), and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Loma Lind University Medical Center (LLUMC).
